My cousin Seth and his bride-to-be were very brave on a cold, windy day. It looked like it would rain any second, but never did. And we had to wait around a lot for the gusts of wind to stop messing with Ashton's hair. In the end, we had a successful and fun shoot. Thank you for allowing me to be your photographer! My cousin Elizabeth and her husband had another baby girl this month. And she is just as beautiful as her big sister, Adia. It's been fun watching their little family grow. I did Elizabeth and Andrew's engagement photos back in the day. Then was in their wedding. I've done Adia's pictures throughout the 16 months she's been around, and now Laila is here! She slept the entire time I took pictures of her, and just kind of went along with whatever. She's adorable, thanks for letting me be such a big part of your growing family, guys! :)

Welcome to the World, Nola!

So, I got to take pictures of the precious and hilarious Nola Grace Newlin. And I have to explain her name before I go on. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hence- N.O.L.A. which I think is the most creative and awesome thing ever! New Orleans has such a rich history and now it's part of who she is. I love that!
OK, so back to the photo shoot. Nola was so funny to take pictures of. She NEVER stops moving. Ever. Even when she was asleep, she twitched and kicked her legs around. I don't think I've ever seen a new baby, or any baby, do that before so I was cracking up. Despite her fidgety demeanor though, we got some pretty cute pictures! And I sum it all up to a successful day. Thanks Hannah and Robert for letting me be the one who documented your baby girl's earliest moments. I appreciate it greatly!

Christian and Alissa are Engaged!

I love Brown County. It's the second most beautiful place I've seen in my life (right below the rockies in Colorado). I feel very lucky to live in such a naturally beautiful place. And my cousin, Christian and his fiancee Alissa made it so easy to take great pictures in our natural photo studio. ha We went all over the place and got some awesome pictures. A June Wedding

Adia Turns One!

It was an unseasonably hot day, but Adia loves being outside. We attempted indoor photos at first because we didn't want her to be miserable out in the heat. But she just kept crawling to the door. So we went! And as you can see, we had no usable indoor photos. ha There will be more added to this post, as we are trying to get some more today. But I wanted to put up the ones I had already because she's just so cute! Enjoy!

Beauty and the Beast

I photographed my very first play production on Saturday. It was a little stressful. The lighting was constantly changing, and people were moving so much that I was a little afraid I wouldn't get a crisp image. I ended up taking almost 900 photos when everything was said and done. OMG! My eye was literally twitching at the end of the play from squinting so long. haha But in the end, it was well worth it. I had a lot of fun with the challenge, and these high school students did a great job!! I am uploading jus a small fraction of the photos I took. Just so everyone can see what a great job the kids did!

My Home

I live in beautiful Brown County, Indiana. It is world famous for the awesome October leaves we have, and the miles of views in the Brown County State Park that make you feel like you are miles away from civilization. There are many great photo opportunities here all year round. And I like to hike and take advantage of them! This particular blog is some of my personal work. Just me enjoying the beautiful surroundings that God has given me. I will update this from time to time. And any of the photos you see in this blog will be available for purchase if one so wishes. Just shoot me an e-mail letting me know which one (there will be a number next to each photo) and what size you would want. Size will determine price. Shipping will be included in every purchase. All prints will also be available on metallic paper.

A Christmas Story

The Deans and their Baby Bump!

My first pregnancy shoot, and I think it went pretty well! It was a HOT day though, and Noelle and Steven took it like champs. We even caught a butterfly! Well, I jumped around in the field attempting to snatch one. Finally I got a patient critter who endured a few snaps before we let him go. (No animals were harmed in the process of this shoot) We got some pretty nice photos all around, and the Deans were a great couple to share the day with. :)

The Berry Family

Courtney VanWinkle Senior Shoot

Courtney and I had a nice day in the fall for shooting. One of those rare overcast days when the lighting is just perfect for a photo shoot. Jenny Smith Senior Shoot

My first senior session, a friend wanted to have me take her pictures. I agreed, and we had an awesome time! We got to hike through Brown County in search of the perfect spots to snap a few pictures. Ended up doing a little trespassing when we saw an awesome barn we wanted to use, then met the owner who was driving down the road on his tractor. Had a nice talk with him about the weather, got permission to use the barn, and went about our day. Ended up being a really fun, really productive day! Plus, the shoot always goes better when you have someone as beautiful as Jenny to be able to photograph. It makes the job behind the lens a lot easier. Thanks for a great shoot, Jenny!

Andrew and Elizabeth are Engaged!

Back in 2009 I had the pleasure of being able to photograph my first engagement. My cousin and good friend were going to be married! I loved being able to take their pictures. It was the first of many great photo shoots to come. :)
